Workshop on Asian Migration Network: Shifting Paradigms of Mobility Organized by the APA Scientific Group on Strengthening Migration Network in Asia
Overview
Asia is in motion. International migration landscapes are rapidly evolving in response to a dynamic global economic and political climate—from post-pandemic economic resurgence to the rise of digital, hybrid, and in-person communication networks.
Following the successful workshop in March 2025, the APA Scientific Group on “Strengthening Migration Network in Asia” is pleased to announce the 2026 workshop. This session will explore the shifting paradigms of mobility, focusing on the complex transition between sending and receiving roles, with particular attention to Thailand, China, and South Asia–GCC migration corridors.
